Beach Wheelchairs
Bookings can now be made
Biosphere Bikes and Girvan Town Team are delighted to be able to provide 2 beach wheelchairs and a beach walker to hire for use at Girvan beach. This will allow beach access to wheelchair users and those with mobility issues where previously it may have been inaccessible.
The Sandcruiser (Blue) is an adult chair with a maximum intended weight of 120kg (18stone)
The Sandpiper (Yellow) has all the same features as the Sandcruiser but smaller to accomodate children. Maximum intended weight of 120kg (18stone)
Both chairs come with a lap belt for added safety
The chairs can go in the water and will float if taken far enough into the water
Free beach wheelchair rental
2 chairs available, Adult Sandcruiser (blue) and Child Sandpiper (yellow)
Advance booking is required
Available Thurs – Sun in 1 or 2 hour slots
Available 11am – 4pm (return by 5pm)
Available for half day community bookings
